Logico shortlisted in prestigious business park awards

We are once again celebrating as we are named in the shortlist of the Make Your Mark Awards in the Small Business of the Year category.

We have recently moved to larger premises in Newton Aycliffe Business Park and provide specialist transport consultancy and training including audits, external transport manager services, driver training and are the only north east company to be DVSA Earned Recognition auditors.

We have seen an increase in demand for our services during recent months as the industry faces constant changes and increased challenges of legislation updates, staff shortages whilst also trying to deal with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the sector.

The Make Your Mark Awards is an annual business awards event created to celebrate the achievements of companies on Aycliffe Business Park.  While engineering and manufacturing remain at the core of the park, a number of new developments in recent years have brought dozens more SMEs from the services and leisure sectors to the park, creating a vibrant, busy employment hub and a wide variety of industries.  The area now boasts some of UK’s highest profile businesses such as Hitachi Rail, Husqvarna and 3M.

Whilst there have been challenges during the last two years, we have continued to grow, now employ seven members of staff and have recently signed a lucrative partnership agreement with MinTrain to deliver their industry leading Driver CPC training courses.

Managing director, Lisa Fleming, who launched the business in 2019, is delighted with the company’s ongoing success, commenting, “As a proud north east business, we are thrilled to be shortlisted in the Make Your Mark Awards.  Having recently moved into larger premises in the business park, this has enabled us to have our own dedicated training facility which in turn will mean we can increase the number of courses we can deliver as we look to grow the business further.

The last two years has seen some of the most challenging times for the industry, however, our highly trained and dedicated team have worked hard to make sure our clients have continued to receive the same first-class service they have come to expect from Logico.  Being named in the shortlist recognises the team’s determination and continuous drive to be the best and deliver excellent services.

We’re looking forward to enjoying the award finals in May and for what the future holds for the company.”
